International Seminar on Digital Women was held on March 9, 2019 with main theme: “WOMEN WILL BE THE ARCHITECTS OF A DIGITAL WORLD” One of IAT’s goals is to redefine the importance and role assigned to women in a Digitalizing Turkiye bearing the motto of “Turkiye: A Country Engaged in Manufacturing Its Own Technology’ This event was hosted by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSI) and held with the attendance of Association for Women Entrepreneurs, Alumni Association of Hacettepe University, Soroptimist Club of Gaziosmanpaşa, GLOBALNET Internet Technologies content support, TURKCELL, and T-Soft E-Commerce company.
The importance of the attendance to the seminar of particularly the entrepreneurial, productive, and young women employed in informatics sector have been underscored, and the speeches and success stories of the women working in or preparing for the digital world and NGOs’ works and approaches to women were discussed during the event. The seminar held under the event brought along information to attendees regarding Internet Assets and Digital Marketing components.
