The event for Digital World Women has been held ever since 2019 on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
IAT believes that women’s minds and creativity will create a significant added value as the combination of both real and virtual world in Turkiye’s digital transformation, in a Metaverse environment namely the new order also defined as beyond future.
This is dependent on women’s will and commitment to raise their technological capabilities and digital skills. IAT also fulfills its duties at the association level. As IAT we are conducting our homework assignment in the form of an association. Therefore, works are meticulously conducted to ensure gender equality at both membership and association levels. IAT is a good indicator of gender equality as its 37% of its members are women and 50% of the board are composed of women. One of IAT’s areas of activity is ‘Women and Gender Equality in Technology.” Several organizations and events held by the Association for 51 years and relevant projects focused on this topic: “Women and Gender Equality in Technology.” Due to its continued efforts on this topics, IAT was awarded Bronze Award in 2019 by the Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS).
